Standardization of Internal Systems for Enel

Standardization of Internal Systems for Enel

Project developed during my time at Minsait, in a team allocated to Enel.

I worked as a solo designer, responsible for creating interfaces and defining visual standards.

The initial challenge was to create a system to manage Enel’s sustainability area operations.

Without a design system or specific digital guidelines, I created the screens from scratch, applying usability best practices.

Home screen for the "Sustainability Plan" system, layout created without a design system.

After delivering the first system, a new project emerged with a similar scope.

I took the opportunity to evolve the design, applying visual improvements and incorporating feedback received previously.

The new visual proposal was well-received and became the foundation for other internal projects.

This example shows the application of version 2 in the 'Regulatory Radar' system, focusing on information organization and more intuitive navigation.

Home screen for the 'Investor Relations' system, the first to receive the new design version.

To visually differentiate the systems from one another, I used Enel's official palette, composed of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, alternating which one took the lead role in each project.

Applied the same visual layout in the 'Regulatory Radar' system, with a different primary color.

At the end of the previous projects, we discovered Enel's official design system, maintained by a team in Italy.

From that point on, we aligned subsequent projects with global guidelines, ensuring greater consistency and scalability for the design.

Input components from Enel’s official design system, created by the team in Italy and used by me in following projects to ensure consistency and standardization across system interfaces.

The first project where I applied Enel's design system was the Partner Management System.

Starting from a legacy interface that I hadn't created, I redesigned the entire visual experience based on the new guidelines and usability best practices.

First interface created based on the Enel design system.

The journey of creating, adapting, and evolving internal systems for Enel provided me not only with design challenges but also with significant learning on how to scale solutions within large corporations with global visions.

Thank you for reading.
